INDUCTION: Sustainable Fashion Hack

Friday 2 February, 09:30-16:30

How do you fancy winning a cash prize by making the Fashion industry more sustainable?

The fashion industry contributes up to 10% of global carbon emissions with a single pair of jeans requiring 7,600 litres of water to be produced. How can this be? Surely we can do better.

The award winning Future Space team invites all new January starters, current students and recent alumni to a team based sprint to build a better fashion industry.

Our hacks help build in demand industry skills that will be useful for your career and teamwork modules like the Collaborative Project. We will be looking at production, distribution and recycling to see if there are ways to build a better industry.

You don't need to be interested in fashion, business or anything else to take part - just bring your curiosity and you will be fine. This hackathon offers students and recent alumni the opportunity to come together to learn, create, test, prototype and present their ideas to do something amazing and tackle some of the big environmental challenges facing the fashion industry. We will be offering a cash prize to the winning team. So, what are you waiting for - get signed up now!
