Personal Best London
The Personal Best London programme is a personal and professional development framework for our postgraduate students and research community.
What is Personal Best London?
Our Personal Best London programme has been designed to support all of our students to recognise and better articulate their own skills and experiences, sequentially allowing students to reflect on their skills, build experience and effectively invest in themselves for their future careers. The Personal Best London award is a fantastic way of evidencing your personal and professional development during your time at Loughborough University London.
This programme enables you to get the best out of your time as a student as well as helping you prepare for your career beyond university.
What does Personal Best London involve?
Personal Best London begins with a compulsory audit completed when you register as a student with us.
There are three related sections of the award:
- Reflection and Action
Each section requires you to complete 15 hours of activity which you need to log evidence for in our Personal Best London Submission Portal hosted within LEARN.
We will aid you every step of the way by helping you track your progress by sending e-mails to you and providing helpful tips on how you are doing with completing the award. You can join our ‘Monday Mentoring’ group sessions hosted by Future Space staff and featuring mentors from across the Here East and Loughborough Alumni communities.
You have the flexibility to create a reflective submission which can be a video, podcast or written document.
All submissions for the full award must be completed by 30th June 2021. The final Personal Best London awards event will be held on 7th July 2021.
Why complete Personal Best London?
Your future employers will be looking for you to develop valuable skills and experience alongside your studies. The Personal Best London Award has been designed to support you with your development in the 15 skill areas of Personal Best London and is a fantastic way of recording and evidencing your experiences.
