The Institute for Sport Business confirmed as Sport Industry NextGen partner for 2018

Loughborough University London’s Institute for Sport Business has been confirmed as the lead academic partner for Sport Industry Group’s NextGen leadership programme for the third year consecutive year.

As part of the leadership programme, the 30 Sport Industry NextGen Leaders will receive multiple experiences throughout the year, including an executive leadership workshop at Loughborough University London.

Young people who work within the sports industry and aspire to grow their network, experience and knowledge for responsible leadership are the focus of this leadership programme.

Dr Steve Swanson, Lecturer and Director for the Sport Business and Leadership MSc at Loughborough University London, is one of the coaches on the leadership programme.

30 Sport Industry NextGen Leaders have been selected for the 2018 programme. They will begin the programme with a selection awards evening on Thursday 1st February 2018. The awards event will take place on Feb 1st 2018 at Village Underground in Shoreditch, London.

Attendees at the event will hear from special guest, Tom Daley, Mens 10m Platform World Champion, about his experiences of growing up as a focus for the sport industry, while battling for medal success at the highest level.

Entrants must be up to 30 years old, enter on their own behalf, and be based in the UK. Entries for the 2019 programme will open in July 2018. The programme is free to enter and aims to discover the rising industry stars.
