Alumnus coordinates largest international virtual marathon

Alumnus Mithran Thiruvengadam Padmini has been responsible for organising the Kalaignar Memorial International Virtual Marathon – the largest of its kind.

Mithran Thiruvengadam Padmini graduated from Loughborough University London in 2019 with a degree in Sport Business and Innovation.
 
The Kalaignar Memorial International Virtual Marathon event included participants from more than 20 countries.
 
The virtual marathon made it into the Asia Book of Records for the Maximum Participants in an International Virtual Marathon.
 
The event raised INR 23,41,726 (GBP 24,908) which will go towards the Corona Relief Fund to support the Southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
