Here East CEO chats with staff and students at EtC event

The CEO of Here East, Gavin Poole, visited Loughborough University London on November 30th, to discuss design, innovation and his experiences of leadership with our students as part of the Enterprise Through the Curriculum initiative.

The purpose of the event was to give students an insight into Gavin's career and how it led to his current position as Here East CEO. Gavin discussed with the students a wide range of topics relating to their academic fields; from technology, innovation, leadership and enterprise.

About Gavin Poole

Gavin, originally an aeronautical engineer for the military, explored how his skills from other disciplines transferred into new workplaces, such as his role at Here East. After 23 years of military leadership Gavin ventured into other roles, such as his role at Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), the independent think tank, and now as CEO of Here East. He also spoke of his experiences of building Here East from the ground up, how, similar to a start-up, they experienced all the stresses and strains, successes and disappointments that businesses go through.
