Ying Feng

Applied AI in IoT and Consumer intelligence in Digital finance

Ying is a doctoral researcher within the Institute for Digital Technologies. Her research area is 'Applied AI in IoT and consumer intelligence in digital finance'. Ying previously graduated from the MRes Sport Business Programme at Loughborough University with distinction in 2019.

Ying joined Loughborough University London in 2018 to study our MRes Sport Business. She originally studied Sport Economics BSc (Hons) and Management at Beijing Sport University, graduating in 2018.

PhD research description

The projects expect to make strides towards experimenting, theorising, and applying the AI technology to the real-world problems by investigating machine and deep learning algorithms on realistic and consumer-based IoT scenarios to model the used systems with reliability, accuracy, effectiveness, scalability, transferability and robustness. This project will investigate: 1, Human-machine interaction inclusive of human behaviours recognition, monitoring, and analysis; 2, Machine-machine interaction entailing object-to-object connection and automation; 3, Machine-human feedings with personalised content and the consequences in economic and social aspects.
