Six panels brought together Loughborough University London graduates, employer partners and industry collaborators to share career insights, offer practical advice and discuss the pathways into graduate employment.
The employer panel featured representatives from several of Loughborough University London's Talent+ partner organisations: Havas Play, Plexal, 4GLOBAL, Sports Interactive (SI) and OnePlan. Through the Talent+ programme, these companies work in partnership with the University to connect with and recruit talented graduates.
Across the six panels, 25 Loughborough University London graduates shared their experiences of building careers with leading organisations, including IMG, Amazon, Bank of America, PwC, Morgan Stanley, Saatchi & Saatchi and Capgemini.
Their career progression was particularly impressive, with graduates holding positions such as Vice President, Senior Data Scientist, Head of Brand Partnerships, Senior Product Designer and Associate Director. Notably, many of the speakers had graduated within the last three years, demonstrating the range of opportunities available to postgraduate students as they progress into their chosen industries.
Throughout the discussions, graduates highlighted how their experiences at Loughborough University London had helped prepare them for their professional careers. The University's practical, industry-focused learning opportunities, including Micro Internships, Collaborative Sprints, Projects and Collaborative Dissertations, were frequently mentioned, alongside the careers coaching and support they received during their studies.
James Chege, who studied MSc Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics and is due to graduate in December 2026, now works as an AI and Software Lead at Prorizon. He said:
The careers coaching and opportunity to gain experience through a micro internship was first class. As an international student I was unsure how to frame my CV for my application. The Loughborough University London Careers Coach was diligent in supporting me at every stage. I now have a full-time role with the company and haven't even graduated yet!
The event opened with a keynote address from Rochelle Gray, University Talent Partner at Adobe and a member of Loughborough University London's Employer Advisory Board.
Reflecting on the event, Rochelle said:
It was fantastic to speak to students and graduates at the event. Through my involvement on Loughborough's Employer Advisory Board, I've seen how passionate the university is about connecting students with industry and helping them prepare for their future careers. I hope attendees left feeling more confident, inspired, and excited about what's next.
The next Careers Insight Event is scheduled to take place in February 2027, continuing the University's commitment to strengthening connections between students, graduates and industry.
