Loughborough University London Employer Advisory Board

To ensure Loughborough’s activities are relevant to industry, the Future Space team works with a group of Careers Professionals who advise on the programme of Careers support and connections we offer.

Loughborough University London’s Employer Advisory Board are active in graduate recruitment working for companies that collectively recruit 4-5,000 graduates a year.  This is a diverse group of professionals who meet twice a year, connect with the Future Space team, attend on campus events and hold campus leaders to account over how we prepare our students for life beyond their degree.  They feed directly into the Future Space activities and ensure they give our students and graduates support that is relevant and up to date.

For students, board members may be part of guest lectures, mentoring and offering insight into how the companies they work for hire new graduates.  They will be invited to networking events and may offer trips and visits to their place of work, guest lectures and mentoring.  The Future Space team works collaboratively with the board to connect opportunities from the companies and partners they work with back to students and graduates.  Look out for job postings, internships and collaborative opportunities through our exclusive Handshake pages and your Institute LinkedIn group.

Brian is a strategic and inclusive Early Careers Recruitment Leader with over 20 years’ experience delivering innovative attraction, engagement and development programmes across the UK and Europe. Brian has designed and executed employer brand strategies that attract diverse early talent to pan-European graduate, intern, apprentice and MBA programmes. Brian is adept at managing cross-functional relationships with business leaders, marketing, and HR teams to ensure aligned messaging, compelling campus engagement, and a best-in-class candidate experience.  Brian is a recognised LinkedIn thought leader and industry speaker on early careers recruitment, DEI, and candidate experience. 

Michelle Gull

Michele Gull, West Ham United.

Human Resources Director.

As the Director of Human Resources at West Ham United F.C., Michele leads the club’s people strategy, employee engagement, talent management, and workplace culture initiatives. With extensive experience in human resources within professional football, she has played a key role in modernising HR practices and supporting organisational growth across the club. Michele is recognised for championing employee wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, and staff development, including leading the initiative to be the first Premier League football club to receive Menopause Friendly Accreditation. A Chartered FCIPD professional, she is committed to creating an inclusive, high-performing environment that supports both staff and organisational success.

Mark Harvey

Mark Harvey, Ford.

Director, Product Management.

Mark is a seasoned automotive executive who concluded a distinguished 35-year career at Ford in April 2026. He most recently was Product Management Director across a range of Ford’s digital products such as the Ford App, leading identity, data privacy and global expansion.

Previously, Mark served as Testing and Site Manager at the Dunton Engineering Centre, directing over 800 staff and multi-million-pound investment programs. A Chartered Engineer, he also spearheaded the development of the Transit Custom, which has sustained over a decade of market leadership across Europe.

Eleni Pavlovic

Eleni Pavlovic, Monzo.

Recruitment Lead.

Eleni is a Recruitment Lead at Monzo Bank, where  she leads the team responsible for hiring software engineers across the business. Alongside her work in experienced hiring, she oversees Monzo's engineering early careers programmes.  Eleni is passionate about helping emerging talent build successful careers in technology. Eleni is also committed to strengthening pathways into the industry and ensuring opportunities are accessible to a diverse range of talent. Through her role on the Loughborough University London Employer Advisory Board, Eleni is keen to help align academic learning with the evolving needs of employers and the technology sector, while helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the workplace.

Shan Nelson-Palmer

Shan Nelson-Palmer, Lloyds of London.

Head of Early Careers.

Shan Nelson-Palmer is an Oversight Framework Manager at Lloyd’s of London and a senior talent leader with over 20 years’ experience shaping early careers strategy across insurance, financial and professional services, technology, pharmaceuticals, and construction. As a former Associate Director and Global Head of Early Careers, she has led large, international teams and designed scalable recruitment and development programmes aligned to business strategy. Shan has built long-standing partnerships with universities to improve access, engagement, and employability outcomes. Following her recent move into market oversight at Lloyd’s, her passion for developing diverse future talent remains central to her work and leadership approach.

Jade Lewendon

Jade Lewendon, TikTok UK.

Head of HR.

Jade Lewendon is a senior people and culture leader with experience shaping talent, leadership, and organizational effectiveness within high-growth global businesses.

Currently at TikTok/ByteDance, she has worked across culture, leadership, and business partnering, supporting commercial and advertising teams in dynamic international markets. With roots in talent and a strong HR foundation, Jade is known for aligning people strategy with business growth, building high-performing teams, and fostering inclusive, purpose-driven cultures.

She brings an advisory perspective grounded in scaling organizations, developing leadership capability, and creating workplaces where people and performance can thrive together to drive business outcomes.

Kate Hawthorn

Kate Hawthorn, FDM.

Director Consultant UK  and EMEA Talent.

Kate has worked at FDM for 12 years, following a 17-year career in HE. At FDM she has overseen Graduate Recruitment and University Partnerships globally as well as the experience Consultants have whilst on client placement. Now Director of Consultant Talent she heads up FDM’s apprenticeship programme which creates alternative routes into university and careers in technology as well as leading on strategy for the Alumni Network creating a professional community for Consultants once they leave. FDM is a multi award-winning global PLC with a mission to bring people and technology together and a strong commitment to diversity, equity and social inclusion.

Nathan Ashley

Nathan Ashley, Waymo.

Public Policy Manager, UK.

Nathan Ashley is a Public Policy Manager (seconded from Milltown Partners) supporting Waymo’s work in the UK as the company prepares to bring its autonomous driving technology to London. 

Nathan has more than a decade of experience in public affairs, strategic communications, and policy, advising organisations across transport, technology, energy, food, farming, music, and sport. Before joining Waymo, he led the public affairs practice at DRD Partnership, developed Voi Technology's safety, sustainability, and equity policy programme across more than 11 countries, and advised the current Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan. Nathan is also a trustee of the Chineke! Orchestra and a former SDG Ambassador.

Rochelle Gray

Rochelle Gray, Adobe.

University Talent Partner.

Rochelle Gray is a University Talent Partner at Adobe, specialising in early careers and university engagement. She brings experience across organisations including Disguise, Ofcom and BT, where she has delivered early careers recruitment, programme delivery, and stakeholder partnerships within the education and employment space. Her experience spans intern, graduate and apprenticeship programmes, with a focus on creating meaningful career development experiences. Rochelle is particularly interested in strengthening collaboration between industry and academia, using insight-led approaches to support inclusive talent pipelines and ensure early careers strategies are aligned with both business and student needs.

Aneel Javed

Aneel Javed, McLaren.

Senior Manager Impact.

Aneel is a strategic leader specialising in high-performance, social impact, and organisational development, with over 20 years of experience in developing scalable programmes across football, motorsport, sports, education, public and community organisations. He has held senior positions at McLaren Racing, Manchester United, Premier League, and the EFL, and has served on non-executive and advisory boards for The FA, British Cycling, and Kick It Out. Aneel’s expertise spans strategy formulation, governance, leadership performance, branding, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and impact assessments. He leverages sport and major brand platforms to enhance performance, talent pathways, and to generate social value on a global scale, translating complex priorities into clear strategies, measurable outcomes, and sustainable change.
