Student Ambassadors
At the start of each academic year, we recruit enthusiastic students who are passionate about Loughborough University London.
As a student ambassador, you'll have the chance to work alongside fellow students and staff on various events both on campus and around London. The role offers flexible working hours, allowing you to balance your work commitments with your studies.
Benefits of the Ambassador Programme
Participating in the Ambassador Programme provides you with the opportunity to work with people of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. It’s an excellent way to demonstrate and develop your communication and team-building skills, add to your CV to enhance your employability and earn a wage. We actively encourage applications from students of all nationalities, cultural backgrounds, and personalities.
Roles and responsibilities
Our Student Ambassadors support a range of events and activities, engaging with prospective postgraduate students and external stakeholders, including organisation representatives, visiting academics, and the local community. They offer invaluable support to various university teams, including Professional Services, Marketing and Advancement, Alumni, and the International Office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting open days and recruitment events
- Conducting campus tours
- Participating in online web chats
- Making telephone calls to applicants
- Answering questions via email
- Producing blogs and other marketing content
- Public speaking
- Assisting with the induction of new students
- Engaging with international agents
- Utilising social media platforms to positively represent Loughborough University London
- Attending events to positively represent Loughborough University London
Our Student ambassadors are such an important part of raising awareness of opportunities in Higher Education and exciting our younger cohorts about the world out there! During events where we work with schools and colleges our ambassadors act as an example to look up to, and inspiration of things prospective students can achieve and the choice they have when it comes to pursuing their dream careers and degrees! I am so grateful for all the impact our ambassador have and the effort they put in to help us motivate prospective students about not only universities but Loughborough too!
