Nearly 100 or Loughborough University London’s keenest students and recent graduates were treated to a very special evening as the Future Space team hosted its first Careers Insight Event of 2024.

Over 20 partners and alumni came to share their hints and tips on their career path.  This included graduates of Loughborough University London now working at Spotify, Goldman Sachs, EY, Amazon and TikTok.

The evening was kicked off by Lauren Estwick new Business and Marketing Director at House 337.  Lauren shared how since graduating in 2017 from Loughborough she has swiftly risen to a Director role at one of the most creative Sports Agencies in the UK.   The finale of the evening was an exclusive chat with the latest Talent+ partner, Signify.  Students and Graduates got to hear from the Founder and CEO of Signify, Jonathan Hirshler.  He shared the skills and experiences that they are looking for from new hires and how Loughborough students and graduates are helping Signify to grow.

Falguni Udeshi who graduated in February 2024 and was one of the speakers at the event said

“As an international student the Future Space team support has been hugely beneficial to my development.  They introduced me to my current employer via the Connect Programme and a Work Insight Project.  Last year I was coming to these events as a participant and now I am speaking and sharing my experiences.  It is incredible the support on offer.”

Professor Jo Tacchi Associate Dean for Education and Student Experience at Loughborough University London said

“Our Future Space events are critical for our students to take the learning from the classroom out into the real world.  The team really understands how to put on a fun impactful event that delivers great outcomes from our students.”

The next Careers Insight Event will take place in November 2024.
