Module Leader for Sports Markets and Industries
Tony is currently working on a PhD in Sport Management and Policy at Loughborough University.
Prior to joining Loughborough he had a successful business career as a senior executive within the UK hospitality and leisure industry. Tony's passion for sport and business led to his decision to undertake a Master's degree in Sport Management and a career move into academia.
Tony will also be the module leader in the academic year of 2016-17 for Sports Markets and Industries.
Tony earned a Master of Science in Sport Management from Loughborough University in 2013, and has been working on his PhD since 2014. Tony’s teaching and research covers sport management, sport policy and governance, sports enterprises and industries, strategic and financial management, sport participation and inter-organisational relationships.
Current research and collaborations
Tony is in his 2nd Year of PhD research that has a focus on the extent to which small to mid-size NGBs of Olympic sports in England have the capacity to influence to sport policy, and the strategies utilised to adapt to and operate within a changing political environment.
