Professor Bill Grantham
Visiting Professor, Media Law and Policy, Institute for Media and Creative Industries
Bill combines life as a partner in a Los Angeles entertainment law firm with scholarship in media and cultural studies.
He has been a newspaper reporter, magazine editor, media executive, media management consultant, and attorney. He has a PhD in media and cultural studies from the University of Sunderland, a JD (law) from the University of California, Berkeley, and degrees in English literature from the Universities of Oxford and Liverpool.
He has written a book, Some Big Bourgeois Brothel: Contexts for France’s Culture Wars with Hollywood (2000) and some 16 scholarly articles and book chapters; he has also been credited on 17 feature films.
