Starting your Business - Making Positive Change
At Future Space we teach the discipline of solving problems sustainably. The world is full of problems. Problems create challenges. Challenges create opportunities. Some of these opportunities can be taken up through the creation of a new business. Some need a change in the law, a compelling campaign or a new social enterprise or charity. Some opportunities require all these things to bring about change. They require Changemakers.
We believe Changemaking is a team sport. Changemaking requires a diversity of thought and experience that you can put together through the global peer group you connect with in the Loughborough University London community.
We can help you develop the mindset, build your skills and offer you the tools and support to create change. We do this through three stages:
Inspiration:
We run regular talks, workshops and events to bring disruptive thinkers and thinking into our space. We host events throughout the academic year. This includes Venture Crawl, guest lectures from industry, networking opportunities, and student enterprise competitions.
Ideation:
We offer workshops and programmes to help you respond to challenges and generate new ideas and responses to global challenges. You can join our regular hacks and challenge events. Through these you will build new teams, new solutions and new ventures.
Acceleration:
You can access our internal and external idea accelerators. New for 2023 will be our pre-accelerator Startup London and our new Accelerator hosted by the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
