Renting accommodation privately
You may choose to rent privately, either on your own or in a shared flat with other students. This option gives you greater independence and flexibility, but you will be responsible for managing rent payments, utility bills, and any household arrangements.

Contract Checking Service
The Student Advice and Support Service offer a free contract checking service to help you understand your rights and responsibilities when renting private accommodation. It is highly recommended that you seek advice from them before you sign any contract or pay any money to a private landlord or letting agent.
