Profile
Weiyi Tian completed a Master’s degree in Digital Creative Media at Loughborough University London with Merit (69%). After graduation, Weiyi founded a studio, focusing on marketing, documentary production, and cross-border e-commerce. Weiyi is now pursuing a PhD full-time, aiming to integrate AI with current technologies to better understand consumer behaviour.
PhD research
Weiyi’s PhD project titled ‘Linking AI with Neuromarketing: A Multimodal Learning of Consumer Behaviour’ explores the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuromarketing to enhance the understanding of consumer behaviours. It integrates multimodal data, including neural signals (EEG), eye-tracking for visual attention, and galvanic skin response (GSR) for emotional arousal, alongside traditional marketing metrics like purchase history. Advanced AI algorithms, including deep learning and data fusion, will be developed to process these data sources and identify patterns linking neural responses to consumer behaviours. The project aims to build predictive models of consumer preferences and purchasing intentions, applying them in real-world scenarios with industry partners to test and refine their accuracy.
