In addition to her academic pursuits, Aditi is the founder of The Brown Block, an organization designed to support and promote South Asian creatives in the fashion industry. Through this platform, she has successfully managed various aspects of event production, from ideation and venue selection to marketing and vendor negotiations. Her role has enabled her to collaborate with a diverse group of artists and designers, curating engaging pop-up shop experiences that resonate with audiences and strengthen community ties.

Her professional experience also includes working as a freelance Business and Marketing Consultant, where she has helped small businesses devise and implement marketing strategies tailored to their unique needs. This role has allowed her to hone her skills in market research, strategy development, and customer engagement, all of which are invaluable in her current research. Aditi’s background is further enriched by her tenure at Madewell as an Assistant Manager, where she cultivated a positive retail environment whilst gaining a hands-on application of consumer psychology, trend forecasting, financial business operations, supply chain logistics.

Additionally, her internship at Trigg Digital as an Assistant Data Analytics Consultant introduced her to the practical applications of data analytics and technology consultancy, solidifying her ability to merge technical expertise with creative industries.

PhD research

Aditi's research centres on Sustainable Wearable Technology and AI, aiming to harness the power of artificial intelligence to develop innovative solutions that promote sustainability within a circular economy.
