Future Space’s Dan Robinson has been a regular on the India trips for the last three years and was once again fortunate to join the team as they hosted pre departure briefings in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Dan provided offer holders with an insightful overview of the different types of careers support services at both the Loughborough and London campuses and spoke with around 80 offer holders afterwards about their career aspirations and explored ways we could support their upcoming plans.
Dan said of the visit “It was great to have the opportunity to return to India to meet offer holders and help them to set expectations around UK graduate recruitment, and to look at how we can support them to meet those expectations from the minute they arrive in the UK. I had some great conversations with prospective students and as always, found them to be full of ambition and with a keenness to get involved in their careers in a proactive manner”.
Attending offer holder Kunal Sharma, who we met in Mumbai, shared his experience with the team shortly after the event:
“The pre-departure briefing covered everything I hoped for—I got clarity on scholarships, what to pack (yes, including the all-important plug adapters!), accommodation, visas, CAS deposits, career and well-being support, and the student union. Chatting with the university delegates felt like hitting a reassurance jackpot—they really boosted my confidence in choosing the right university.”
