Welcome to Collaborate
Join Amy Pyle, Learning Partnerships Manager and the Future Space team, as we take an introductory look at all things Collaborate.
Available to all students the Collaborate programme provides the opportunity to apply your learning and previous knowledge to develop solutions to real world challenges as part of your academic curriculum, while gaining additional key skills and experience for your future ambitions.
Collaborate is made up of two academic modules:
- The Collaborative Project – working in student teams on a brief provided by an organisation.
- The Collaborative Dissertation – working individually on a research question provided by or developed with an organisation.
Welcome to Future Space
Get connected with your future career over free food and drink!
Join the team for an introduction to the Future Space offer, including an overview the broad range of careers support available to LU LDN students.
This will be followed by an opportunity to network with team members, colleagues and recent alumni to learn more about how the Future Space offer can complement and support your future career plans. Refreshments and nibbles will be provided - Please note that this event is an alcohol free event.

Collaborate Sprint
- Are you curious about how to create change in the world?
- Do you want to collaborate, tackle a problem in a team and pitch a solution to win a cash prize?
- Do you want to connect with students from across the campus, build your confidence and learn new skills?
If you answered yes to all these questions – then our Collaborate Sprint event on Friday 30th January could be just for you.
At Loughborough University London we like to teach the discipline of solving problems sustainably. Through our Collaborate programme we challenge our students to take on a big problem. Whether it’s the regulation of AI, Climate Change, fixing fast fashion or looking at transport infrastructure in cities – we want to help you to create better.
Sprints are a great way to get to know your fellow students, develop team working skills and learn how to get things done. They also support you to understand how to get the best out of group work and prepare you for the Collaborative Project and Global Challenges Modules and the Collaborative Dissertation.
No previous experience is necessary, all the information will be given on the day.
The Collaborate Induction Sprint will see you:
- Build a team
- Work together to tackle a ‘wicked problem’
- Take on a real challenge from a business or global organisation and receive feedback from established professionals
- An opportunity to make new friends and establish social or working groups for the upcoming year
Cash prize on offer for the winning team
