Post-study careers support

Your time at Loughborough University London does not end once you graduate. You can still benefit from our services, book our meeting rooms or spaces and attend our events both online and in person. We also regularly welcome back our alumni community to speak and represent us at events to share their career journey and stay connected.

Help to secure graduate roles

We work with several key partners and employers who are looking to recruit from the diverse talent base that is here at Loughborough University London.

Our employers attend our career insight events, support us with careers workshops, our collaborative sprints, guest lectures and programmes. Specifically, we run trips and visits to these employers to help our students and graduates learn about their work and culture.

Our deepest partnerships are with:

  • Chelsea FC
  • IMG
  • Sports Interactive
  • 4Global
  • Plexal
  • Signify
  • AI IO
  • Hackney Council
  • Here East
  • Global Disability Innovation Hub

Support for international graduates

We offer workshops specifically for international graduates that can help them understand the legal frameworks and opportunities for employment in the UK and beyond. We regularly host visa advice workshops, and you can book 121 appointments with our visa team to get advice and guidance on employment during and post your studies.

The employers we collaborate with are increasingly recognising the advantages of employing from our diverse pool of talent, and many have successfully recruited our graduates.

LinkedIn groups

During your time with us, we encourage you to join our active LinkedIn groups for your Institute to help build and extend our community out into the world of work. If you haven’t already done this, please use the links on our Handshake page to join your LinkedIn Community.

Your alumni access entitles you to:

  • Use study spaces during permitted hours
  • Access guest Wi-Fi

Your alumni access does not entitle you to:

  • Access to online library resources
  • IT facilities (computers, printers, etc.)

Access outside normal operational hours is available in exceptional circumstances only.

Research careers

Many of our graduates have gone on to PhD study both within our own PhD community and beyond. We regularly run workshops both for our postgraduate research students and showcasing how PhD study can open career doors in academia and beyond.
