Benefits of collaborating with Loughborough University London
The Collaborative Project
The Collaborative Project is a key feature of the master's programmes delivered at Loughborough University London. It is a work-based experience that looks to give organisations new insight on a problem or challenge whilst developing real capabilities in our students.
Over the course of three weeks, students work in small, interdisciplinary teams on a brief provided by one of our valued project partner organisations. The project is supervised and facilitated by an academic Project Lead. At the end of the project, student teams present back to organisations outlining their findings and proposed solutions.

During the three weeks, project partner organisations take part in presenting the brief to students, giving feedback as the teams build their ideas. Organisations get to be part of the process, ad their feedback helps to shape the solutions. The programme culminates at the Collaborative Project Show where the final solutions are presented.
The Collaborate programme at Loughborough University London is fantastic, we have collaborated for several years and I reference it regularly to people talking about preparing talent coming in to industry – and by return prepping industry for the way future talent operates.

Get involved in the Collaborative Project
The Collaborative Project Module will take place from 17 May to 4 June 2027, with the Collaborative Project Show taking place on 24 June 2027. Please see the timeline below for more details.

| October - beginning of December 2026 | Organisations submit a short project outline to Loughborough University London for consideration. |
| Beginning of January 2027 | Collaborating organisations and project outline are confirmed. |
| February 2027 | Organisations are introduced to the Academic Project leads, and project outlines are refined and project briefs finalised. |
| 17 May – 4 June 2027 |
The Collaborative Project Module takes place over three weeks. During this time, organisations come onto campus to present their project brief to student teams, engage with teams as they develop their ideas and answer questions, before returning to campus to hear the final presentations and provide feedback. |
