Why I chose Loughborough University London

Loughborough University London stood out for its strong emphasis on innovation, entrepreneurship, and real-world problem solving. The programme I studied fostered an environment where students are encouraged to think independently, take initiative, and transform ideas into impactful solutions.

Personally, I consider it one of the best universities in the UK for individuals who want the freedom to explore ideas, build capabilities, and create real impact. Its location in London provides direct exposure to a dynamic ecosystem of industry leaders, startups, and global organisations, enhancing both learning and career opportunities.

My overall academic experience

My academic journey at Loughborough was highly enriching and transformative. The programme strengthened my ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and approach challenges with both analytical structure and creative innovation. One of the most valuable aspects was the freedom to experiment and build, which helped me develop confidence, ownership, and a strong execution mindset—skills that continue to shape my professional approach today.

Academic and career support

The academic support at Loughborough was highly accessible, with faculty offering valuable insights that strengthened both my thinking and execution. The careers support was instrumental in preparing me for the UK job market. Through structured guidance, CV support, and interview preparation, I was able to position myself effectively and secure strong career opportunities. Notably, I received multiple job offers before graduation, reflecting strong employability and readiness. I progressed through advanced interview stages with leading organisations such as: The Portfolio Group, Recruiting Hub, Hays, and Taylor & Francis. This highlights the university’s strong industry alignment and career preparation.

The campus offers modern, well-equipped facilities designed to support both independent learning and collaborative innovation. The environment encourages productivity, experimentation, and idea development, enabling students to work effectively on both academic and self-driven projects.

My current achievements and professional milestones

Currently, I am contributing to the ethics, integrity, and operational systems within the Innovation and Social Impact function at Taylor & Francis. Alongside my professional role, I am developing a portfolio of high-impact initiatives, including:

• Cybersecurity Awareness Programme: equipping individuals and organisations with the knowledge to navigate emerging digital risks and strengthen online safety.

• Credibility Platform Concept: a technology-led solution designed to enhance trust, transparency, and authenticity across digital ecosystems.

• Water Monitoring Innovation Project: addressing sustainability and resource management challenges through data-driven approaches.
