At Loughborough University London, we understand that every career journey is unique, which is why we provide every student with the support and guidance they need to reach their personal career goal.

Whether you are looking to launch your own business, progress with your existing employer or begin a new career journey, we will help you to identify the skills and experiences you need to stand out from the crowd.

Careers Network

The Careers Network is a useful source for vacancies; providing tailored information about your career options alongside advice for developing your employability skills.

Career Consultations

Our 30 minute career consultations offer you a chance to discuss your career goals with a trained consultant, and receive advice on the type of skills and experiences you need to transform your career aspirations into a reality. You will work with one of our dedicated Careers Consultants to formulate a detailed career action plan, and will receive advice on a range of services, events and opportunities that will enhance your work-related skills and experiences.

Interview coaching

Our interview coaching sessions are designed to prepare you for the final and most critical stage of the job application process. The sessions last approximately 45 minutes and take the form of a real interview, so that you can practice your skills and receive personalised feedback on your performance.

Quick Advice

Our Quick Advice sessions last approximately 15 minutes and are an ideal opportunity to discuss a simple query with a careers specialist, or receive useful feedback on your C.V., cover letter or job application. Quick Advice sessions can be held remotely via email if preferred. Please email for more information.

Academic Language Support Service

The Academic Language Support Service offers skills sessions and workshops to develop your confidence with academic writing, which can also improve your ability to write successful job applications, personal statements and cover letters. Online mentoring via LboroConnect

Did you know 60% of jobs in the UK are found through networking? The University's online mentoring platform, LboroConnect, is an virtual community of current students and alumni, which allows you to build your professional network and make connections with other students and graduates who share the same career interests as you. Opportunities include online mentoring, work shadowing and insight days with professionals working in the UK and overseas.

Booking an appointment

All appointments should be made using TARGETconnect. To make a booking, you will need to sign in by clicking ‘Student login’. Once you have logged in, click ‘Book appointment’ to complete a short online form and remember to select the London appointments, e.g. London Career Consultation and London Quick Advice. If no available slots are showing, please click the arrow on the right hand side (next to the word ‘Today’) to view alternative dates.

If you are struggling to find an appointment slot that suits you, please email with a list of preferred dates and times, and the careers team will try to arrange an appointment for a time that suits you.
