Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University London?

When I started to research the top universities for sport-related courses, the name of Loughborough University came up as the best university in so many lists. To pick the London campus was an easy choice as London is the central location, both economically and for sport in general. This would provide an ease of networking access across various fields.

What attracted you to your programme?

The reputation of the university was the first step towards picking the course. The course entailed understanding sport business, along with the innovation aspect of it. The touch of innovation as well as the core understanding of sport was a driving force for me picking this programme.

What do you enjoy the most about your course/Loughborough University London?

The location of the campus in Here East creates a sense of professionalism which is needed for a Masters course. All the professors are really supportive and friendly which gives you a comfort zone to explore your thoughts and ideas about the sports industry. The most interesting aspect is the association of each concept with the practical world. We learn by applying concepts in the real world through case studies and exploratory group work.

This course has given me a holistic understanding of the sport industry. How do you like to spend your time away from your studies?

When I am not studying, I like reading, listening to music or just playing sport. Since Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is right next to my accommodation and also the campus, it is a great place to just go for a run, play some football or go around on a bike. I have also just joined a Sunday League football team to play regularly on the weekends.

Do you have any advice for students moving to London?

It might seem overwhelming at first when you have so many new things coming at you. Just take things one day at a time and try to explore everything. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. You are here to learn and grow. Get out of your comfort zone and make the most of all the facilities you have access to.
