Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University London?
I chose to study at Loughborough University London as the Design Innovation programme is a unique blend of theoritical as well as practise based modules, which is rare to find in design schools across the world. Also the faculty members are experts in subjects of my interest, and therefore I believe their support could benefit me in my near future.
What do you enjoy most about your programme?
The coursework assessments are extremely interesting and the industry exposure opens various avenues to the design market in the UK.
Describe a day in the life of a postgraduate student on your course.
Wake up in the morning, have breakfast, get ready for university (if there is a early class), attend the session/ tutorial, go for a break, spend some time in the library reading, continue class if there are sessions after lunch, go back home, relax for some time, work on courseworks, have dinner, sleep.
How do you like to spend your time away from your studies?
Visiting museums, attending fairs and interesting events around London.
Do you have any advice for students moving to London?
Advice to prospective students of Design Innovation - be prepared to be more academic, read as much as you can and keep up to date with the design trends across the world. There will be more of writing than hands on designing!
