Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University London?

Often we read history, rarely we make. Loughborough University London is located in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as it continues with its historic run amongst the top ten universities in the UK and I seek to contribute to it. The incoming of multinational corporations nearby further fortifies potential continuity long after post-graduation. The forward-looking entrepreneurship and innovative outlook of the University guaranteed me to expect a modern institution with academics of excellence credentials and experience in their respective fields. LSU London and their extra-curricular activities demonstrate that student support is available throughout and dreamers are encouraged to not only dream but also achieve.

What attracted you to the programme?

It's unique balance between international business and international relations with a focal underlying touch of economic understanding. In an interconnected global society that we live in, I believe this programme provides an adequate mix of the theoretical framework for any future practical implementation in the real world of work.

Describe Enterprise Through the Curriculum in your own words.

The innovative and thoughtful additional activity implemented by the University with the core purpose of identifying and developing employable core key skills and expertise required in the real world - the Collaborative Project is a great module that also fosters this cognitive behaviour development.

List 3 ways that Enterprise Through the Curriculum is helping you to reach your future career goals.

  • Critical thinking: I have developed a more thorough analysis approach towards academic and professional tasks with more appreciation for clarity and insight - equally reflected on my personal development

  • Employability: through the Collaborative Project as well as the many other innovative entrepreneurship-led activities by the University have all helped to cultivate teamwork, communication skills and creativity.

  • Self-confidence: the intellectual nature of the master programme demands a more strategically sound mindset and challenges one to push above and beyond one's comfort zone. ‎

Do you have any advice for students moving to London?

Be open-minded and seek to explore the City. London is indeed a city with many hidden gems and offers a breadth of diversity, in opportunities, cultures and everything else in between.

Where are the best places to explore on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park?

Exploring the riverside lawns and wetlands, and the London Aquatics Centre.

Do you have any advice to prepare students for the transition from undergraduate to postgraduate study?

Postgraduate studies are very academically challenging, therefore, it requires robust dedication to keeping up with the structure of block teaching per semesters. If taken full time, then full-time reading and studying are equally needed.
