Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University London?

I looked for a Master’s programme that could help me to connect the advanced digital technologies and sports business; and my current programme, Sport Digital and Media Technologies was the perfect match. Also, the location of the campus being in London was another great plus point!

List at least one thing you wish you knew about Loughborough University London before arriving on campus.

There is three-week block teaching system in this university, so not all module starts from Week 1. The timetable varies week to week. The module selection is available during Induction Week.

List 3 ways that Enterprise Through the Curriculum is helping you to reach your future career goals.

Enterprise Through the Curriculum, more often called ‘EtC’, is one of my favourite experiences I’ve had on the London campus! A dedicated team supports the students to explore or develop business opportunities by connecting us with inspiring leaders in various organisations. So far, we enjoyed different types of activities: pitching workshop, Shoreditch start-up incubating hub visit, electronic car hackathon and many more!

Do you have any advice for students moving to London?

The city is one of the truly multi-cultural places in the world, especially in the east side, you will see a celebration of diversity in every corner of the street. I would encourage international students to be open to new experiences and bring your own uniqueness to this amazing melting pot. The rent is never cheap to hire a room around the campus; however, I found general commodities such as grocery are relatively cheaper compared to my home country.

Do you take part in any extra-curricular activities on campus or in the local area?

I was elected as Sport Representative at LSU committee and Programme Representative at Institute for Sports Business. It has been a rewarding journey to represent fellow students and make changes on campus.

Outside the campus, I love learning from attending sports conferences and seminars - networking is an important part of the extra-curricular activities. I also have a keen interest in sports volunteering. I am an active volunteer at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Young Hackney and Park Run.

What support is available at Loughborough University London?

I would like to recommend the academic English writing support for international students. You can join drop-in sessions every week or arrange private appointment for proofreading or writing guidance for the assignments. Also, the university has a Careers Consultant who can help you to prepare your CV and cover letters with Quick Advice sessions. Coaching is also offered to improve your interview skills.
