Why Loughborough University London?

Loughborough University London was the clear and obvious choice for me. I was really attracted to the innovative spirit and general sense of ‘collaboration’ of the university. The campus is just technologically streaking ahead of other institutions and the calibre of teaching was second to none. The opportunity to be in the heart of London and be exposed to many business and networking opportunities really drew me in.

What have you most enjoyed about your programme so far?

I have enjoyed the range of different teaching styles and activities included across my modules. From guest lecturers, to company site visits and interactive lectures- you get a real mix of experience. No two days are the same!

What attracted you to the programme?

Personally, I was attracted to the marrying up of Sport Business and the study of Innovation. Innovation management was a new concept for me and something I hadn’t ever learnt about before. I firmly believed that innovation plays a vital role for future businesses and to combine that with learning about Sport Business, that really excited me.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Tricky question! In 5 years I see myself in a leadership role within a sports marketing company or sports club. I would love to have the chance to effect change within a company in some way. I am here at Loughborough University London trying to work out what my career path will look like in the future and find my true calling. Watch this space!

What advice would you give to prospective students looking to study at Loughborough University London?

Really make it your mission to check out the university as much as possible and get involved where you can. Email any of the Student Ambassadors, attend the open evenings, ask lots of questions and really get a feel for who we are and what Loughborough University London can offer you. Remember, this is your journey.

List at least one thing you wish you knew before arriving on campus

Get a locker early, you can pick a number and it’s really handy to store your extra bits in! If you’re anything like me and a bit of a hoarder, you’ll find this really useful- it’s also great to keep your lunch in too.
