What were your expectations from this role before you became an ambassador?
When I first learnt about the role, I was aware that being a student ambassador entailed representing the university extensively, while also functioning as part-time staff. I believed that the role would afford me opportunities to work directly with university staff on a number of events and initiatives – an expectation that has been truly met.
What kind of roles and events were you involved with as a student ambassador?
As a student ambassador, I have interacted directly with prospective students, shared with them my experiences both as a student and as a member of the LSU London Committee. Additionally, through my connections at BT Sport, I have organised tours of the facility and the studios for pre-sessional students.
What was the best thing about being a student ambassador?
I believe the role brings about a new dimension to your student experience – one where you aren’t simply working hard and being proactive, but are rather going beyond being a student and having to shoulder the responsibility of representing an organization you truly identify with.
How do you think this role has helped you?
The role has enabled me to become more organised, while helping me build relationships internally and externally.

How did you find balancing your role with other commitments such as your studies and social life?
For me, personally, it has not been a significant challenge. The role offers tremendous flexibility – by way of which you can choose work that suits your schedule, ensuring that coursework or your social life is never affected. You may, on the other hand, meet some amazing people along the way.
