Why Loughborough University London?
I have been thinking for a while that I would like to study a master’s in business. Having completed my undergraduate degree at Loughborough’s East Midlands campus, I knew Loughborough was a leading university for high quality teaching and the business school is always ranked highly in major university league tables. However, I wanted to try something new, so when I heard Loughborough was opening an exclusive postgraduate facility and was offering courses in business, I knew I wanted to study there. I liked the idea of being one of the first students to study on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. So many history-making moments have taken place here; it’s a really inspiring place to be.
What are you most looking forward to about the programme?
I am really looking forward to learning about start-ups and discovering how to turn an idea into a success story. I consider myself to have an entrepreneurial mind and having the skills to nurture these tendencies is going to really help me succeed. I have supported my dad to drive the success of a local engineering company, but my real passion is to develop my own company, maybe in the mobile industry.
What attracted you to the course?
I was definitely attracted to the entrepreneurial modules and some of the practical, hands on assessments. My roommate is a budding entrepreneur and he has really inspired me. I think this programme is exactly what I need to set my ideas into motion; I can’t wait to get started!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years’ time, I would like to think that I am running a small business with the support of my family. I’m hoping that the knowledge and skills I develop through my course will help to make my dream a reality.
