The Careers Insight Event saw six diverse panels of alumni, partners and collaborators come together to network, share top tips and chat about how to get that post studies role. The panels were made up of 25 Loughborough University London graduates now working at the likes of TikTok, KPMG, and CAA.
Professor Sam Grogan, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Experience at Loughborough University, who gave the keynote said:
Loughborough University London really connects our students to an incredible network beyond our walls. These events are an essential part of the Loughborough University student experience and provide a fun and impactful way to connect students to our global alumni and partner network. It was great to invite prospective students to be part of this to not just see the work we do at Loughborough but also connect with recent graduates to find out how we have supported them into their careers.
Alongside the alumni panels the evening was topped off with a select panel of Loughborough University London’s Talent+ partners. Sports Interactive, Plexal, Acushnet, IMG and Signify. At the event, IMG also launched its graduate scheme. Alex Hazlewood, who graduated from Loughborough University London in December 2024 and now works at IMG as an Assistant Account Manager, said:
I owe my job to Loughborough. IMG came into one of my lectures to set a challenge. The motivation because it was a real company and a real challenge was huge. My group worked hard and I guess our presentation really impressed them. I started following them and when they had a role I went for it – and now I am here! I can’t believe that just over a year after I was attending one of these events I am now speaking at one.
