New film shows the incredible connections achieved by Loughborough University London over its ten years

The academic year 2025-26 is a hugely celebratory one for Loughborough University London.  It reached the milestone of its 10-year anniversary with a special Careers Insight Event that brought together students, alumni and staff for an evening of reflection, networking and inspiration.

For those that don’t know, Loughborough University London opened its doors for the first time on Monday 21st September 2015. Over 5,600 students have graduated from the campus and what better way to celebrate our alumni’s success than by bringing together a curated collection of our diverse alumni to share their career journeys with our current students.

A short video of the event which was held in October 2025 has now been published on the University’s YouTube channel.  Edited by Alex Lees, himself an alumnus of Loughborough it shares the energy and learning from the evening.

The event, hosted by the Careers and Employability team, Future Space, was held at our London campus  and marked a decade since the site first opened its doors in 2015. Over the course of the evening, attendees heard from a diverse range of alumni who shared their experiences of studying at Loughborough University London and the career journeys that followed.

Reflecting on the event, Vice-Chancellor Professor Nick Jennings said:

When I joined the University in 2021, one of the most attractive features was Loughborough’s campus here in East London. This is a vibrant and connected space and one that we have been proud to call home for the last decade. Celebrations like this show what a special team and community we have built here in London. Seeing how this continues to grow and expand is hugely rewarding.

Sport Analytics and Technologies MSc graduate Jayant Ganju, who is now a Football Statistician at Sky Sports said:

It was incredible to come back onto campus and connect with the new cohort of students in this 10th anniversary year.  When I came to Loughborough University London from India in 2020, I was unsure how my studies would impact my career. I was supported by the Future Space team to access real world skills, internships and opportunities that built my network and projected me into the UK sports industry.  My role now at Sky is a dream come true and I am thankful to continue to be part of the Loughborough community.

The Careers Insight event forms part of a wider programme of activities taking place throughout the academic year to mark London’s 10th anniversary, celebrating the School’s growth as a thriving hub of creativity, research, and professional development in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
