Participants from this year's Loughborough London Open Fund, Future Space micro internships and Personal Best London were presented with awards during the event, which was followed by a drinks reception, giving award recipients the chance to meet, relax and discuss their journeys.
This year’s Loughborough London Open Fund saw over 100 community organisations from across London apply for gifts of up to £1,000. On the night, the work of all of these organisations was celebrated with fourteen of them receiving gifts between £250 and £1,000.
Head of Future Space, Ben Cole, concluded the event by giving out student awards for those who had completed both Micro Internships and the campuses Personal and Professional Development award – Personal Best London.
Personal Best London recipient and current MSc Sports analytics and technologies student, Max Champion shared his reflections of his Future Space experience:
"Future Space has been the beating heart of my Loughborough University London experience. Every event or experience the Future Space team organised, I made sure to attend and for good reason. The connections made, and the insights gained, have already been truly valuable to my short career, and I'm sure will continue to be so in the future. A personal highlight of mine is meeting a 4Global employee at a careers night, organised by Future Space. This then culminated in me completing an internship with 4Global, a data-driven sports agency. Thank you Future Space for everything you've done for me during my time at Loughborough University London!"
