The event:

This year’s annual Common Futures Forum will be hosted in collaboration with the Tony Blair Institute as Future of Britain: Next Generation conference. After a successful partnership at the FOB conference earlier this year, we’ve identified an opportunity to better bring together political leaders and changemakers to really push the political agenda of tomorrow. Taking place Saturday 10th December 2022, from 09:00 - 17:00 at Plexal, London. Partnering with the Tony Blair Institute will help bring together youth leaders, policymakers, academics, and public figures in dynamic panel sessions.

What is MIMS (Make It Make Sense)

Our Make it Make Sense series is designed to make politics more accessible to young people. This is our version of a BBC Question Time modelled event with a bit more fun injected into the format. Hosted by Swarzy Macaly, we bring together a diverse range of speakers from the world of politics, culture and young people to explore some of the biggest issues of the day.

What is a Democracy Café?

Our Democracy Cafés endeavour to engage young people in local and national decision-making processes and to empower them to continue this within their local communities. They aim to reignite the traditional 1930s 'talking shop', which was often in the local cafe, where local people would meet to discuss current affairs. Our Democracy Cafés have been an incredibly effective way of bringing young people from diverse backgrounds together to talk about political issues.
