The Institute for Diplomacy and International Governance has organised a Speaker Series to bring together a mix of academics and practitioners discuss issues relating to diplomacy, foreign policy and international governance.
About Dr Simon Rofe
Dr J Simon Rofe is Reader in Diplomatic and International Studies in the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy, at SOAS University of London, and Programme Director for the MA Global Diplomacy since 2012, following a role in the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) in 2012. He is responsible 'Sport and Diplomacy: Games within Games', (Manchester: Manchester University Press / USA Oxford University Press 2018). He served, and serves on a number of boards of academic journals such as Diplomatic History and Diplomatica: A Journal of Diplomacy and Society; and act as series co-editor for the series Key Studies in Diplomacy.
He is currently the head of the International Studies Association’s Diplomatic Studies Section, and play a leading role in consulting on matters of Sports Diplomacy for the UK Government (FCDO) UNESCO, UNITAR and UK Anti-Doping.
