Gender Mainstreaming in Peacebuilding
The Institute for Diplomacy and International Governance has organised a Speaker Series to bring together a mix of academics and practitioners to discuss issues relating to diplomacy, foreign policy and international governance.
About Dr An Jacobs
Dr An Jacobs is a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. She has previously worked at the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst and has operational experience as a Political Advisor for EULEX Kosovo. She has conducted fieldwork in DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Burundi, Kenya, and Ukraine. Her research interests include peacebuilding, security sector reform, the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy, and education as a peacebuilding tool.
About Dr Katarina Krulisova
Dr Katerina Krulisova is a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Katerina’s research focuses on gender and security, specifically the UN’s Women, Peace and Security Agenda, and women as perpetrators of political violence. Katerina serves as an Independent Advisor to the Czech Working Group on Women, Peace and Security.
