Fashion as Creative Economy: A Social Justice Agenda - Prof Angela McRobbie
Prof Angela McRobbie will discuss her new book, ""Fashion as Creative Economy: Micro-enterprises in London, Berlin and Milan"", co-authored with Daniel Strutt and Carolina Bandinelli.
Prof McRobbie’s talk will introduce key concepts and ideas emerging from the AHRC CREATe research project, and co-authored with Dan Strutt and Carolina Bandinelli . Some of these concepts include the ‘milieu of fashion labour’, ‘social fashion’, ‘female-led fashion place-making practices’, ‘art theory’ and ‘monopoly rent’. The focus will also be on the dynamics of independent fashion production in London, Berlin and Milan.
