Collaborate Sprint with IBM

  • 26 September 2025
  • 10am - 4pm
  • Loughborough University London, Future Space

Do you want to collaborate, tackle a problem in a team and pitch a solution to win a cash prize?

At Loughborough University London we like to teach the discipline of solving problems sustainably. Through our Collaborate programme we challenge our students to take on a big problem.  Whether it’s the regulation of AI, Climate Change, fixing fast fashion or looking at transport infrastructure in cities – we want to help you to create better.

Sprints are a great way to get to know your fellow students, develop team working skills and learn how to get things done. They also support you to understand how to get the best out of group work and prepare you for the Collaborative Project and Global Challenges Modules and the Collaborative Dissertation. This September we are connecting up with IBM to offer a sprint that will delve into Design Thinking and AI.  No previous experience is necessary, all the information will be given on the day.

The Collaborate Induction Sprint will see you:
•    Build a team
•    Work together to tackle a ‘wicked problem’
•    Take on a real challenge from a global organisation and receive feedback from established professionals
•    An opportunity to make new friends and establish social or working groups for the upcoming year

All students from both January 2025 and September 2025 cohorts are encouraged to join us for this exciting event!

Cash prize on offer for the winning team. Places are limited so sign up today!
