Olga is a passionate gender specialist with over 15 years of international experience in programme management and technical advice for interventions promoting women’s and girls’ rights, as well as organisational gender mainstreaming.

Olga has a MA in Gender and Development obtained at the Institute of Development Studies (Sussex University) and an in depth understanding of International Development practices having lived in developing countries and worked for bilateral, multilateral and non-profit organisations.

During the first half of her career, Olga has worked for the Italian Government in Ethiopia and Guatemala, and later became a Gender Officer for the UN Peacekeeping mission in Liberia. In 2013 she moved to London and since then has worked as a Gender Advisor for Plan International UK and for Girl Effect. As a Senior Project Manager she also led the Advocating for Safe Abortion project at the International Federation of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists (FIGO). Olga specialises in design and implementation of gender-transformative and inclusive programmes across a number of different sectors such as education, sexual and reproductive health, economic empowerment, and violence.
