About the Academy

The Academy of Diplomacy and International Governance will deliver a suite of topical and pertinent programmes for individuals wishing to pursue a diplomatic career, or enter a government department, regional or international organisation or work for a multinational corporation.

These programmes are a desirable progression route for those aspiring to work directly in the diplomatic sector or for those looking to gain a full understanding of the conduct of international relations within a commercial context. Taught in the evenings and on Saturdays only, the Academy of Diplomacy and International Governance is ideal for individuals looking for rapid career progression into management and development positions in the global diplomatic community.

The academic network within the Academy upholds an outstanding track record in the teaching of diplomacy and other related disciplines. Alumni taught by the Academy's Director Professor Nabil Ayad have continued into Minister and Ambassador roles in their home countries. Others are working for the United Nations, NATO, the European Union, the League of Arab States, security and defence organisations, the media and as university lecturers.

Alongside a suite of unrivalled programmes and impressive teaching staff, the Academy is ideally located in the country’s capital and is in easy reach of all the principal diplomatic missions, government departments, media and financial centres and the headquarters of all major multinational organisations.

The Academy also maintains close partnerships and cultural exchange opportunities with a number of leading diplomatic academies and institutes. In turn, the programmes will enable students to develop a network of associates as well as build a unique, pertinent learning experience at Loughborough in London.
