Elaina is a Digital Creative Media MSc student from China.

Prior to Elaina's master's programme at Loughborough University London, Elaina majored in Automobile.

What were you doing before you started your master's?

I was in Shanghai China where I studied Automobile. After working as a customer specialist in a startup, I decided to go for further study.

Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University London?

There are a number of reasons why I chose to study here and that includes the programme being taught in London and the building being well facilitated.

What do you enjoy the most about Loughborough University London?

I love being in London! I can go to museums and endless events in London. I also love the campus building - it is really well facilitated.

Describe a day in the life of a postgraduate student on your course

It depends on what time of the year it is. In March, I have to finish all my second-semester modules which includes long-hour lectures that run through the day. During the “final season”, I have no lectures or semianrs fortunately. I still visit the campus to finish off my essays. Sometimes I’ll have a talk with my supervisor.

How do you like to spend your time away from your studies?

I like to attend museums and events in London. This includes Tate Britain, Tate Modern and the British Museum.

If you could give one piece of advice to a postgraduate student, what would it be?

I would recommend looking at jobs before you arrive in London. I would also say to enjoy your life in London. It is important to get involved with other things the University offers, as well as London in general.
