Why did you choose LUL?
I am born and bred in East London and have seen the regeneration of my local area. I was lucky to be a volunteer at the Olympic Games in 2012 as a Flower and Medal Bearer and was at the right moment in my career and life to do a postgraduate degree. I was very fortunate to obtain a 100% Scholarship through the Inspiring Success programme and was part of the 1st cohort of students. This was such an exciting opportunity which in result has changed my life am very grateful.
How has LUL helped you in your career/ academic aspiration?
Obtaining a Masters degree from Loughborough University London has helped me launch a career. I am currently working for Cognizant Microsoft Business Group as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst.
What do/did you like about studying at LUL?
In regards to studying it gave me a purpose and developed my character. Studying is always rewarding once you accomplish your goals and this has broadened my horizons. This is in result has opened a whole world of unlimited opportunities.
Do you have any advice for anyone applying to a postgraduate degree?
If you have an opportunity to study for a postgraduate degree at this iconic University then I would highly recommend it. The facilities and staff are second to none and I still feel part of the Loughborough family 6 years later. This will open a whole world of opportunities for you. You have to be in it to win it!
