Rethinking our Communicative Pasts: Radical and Reparatory Perspectives Workshop
Drs Burçe Çelik and Anaïs Carlton-Parada hosted a 2 day in person workshop inviting researchers from as far as South Africa and America to present findings on topics within the Media and Communications industry.
The topics covered areas on marginalised, forgotten communities, colonial history, diaspora, media broadcasting and telecommunications. This was a cross collaboration between the Institute of Media and Creative Industries (IMCMI), the Institute of Design Innovation (IDI) and Nelson Costa Ribeiro , Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Participants were able to learn from one another, network and engage in thought provoking conversations.
