Entrepreneurship scholar set to deliver gender and entrepreneurship paper in Bangkok

Dr Angela Martinez Dy has been invited to deliver a paper at the second biannual conference on women’s entrepreneurship in Bangkok.

Hosted in Thailand by Bangkok University and Loughborough University alumnus Dr David Achtzhen, the conference is ideally situated for the discussion of entrepreneurship and equality, given Thailand is one of only very few countries in the world where rates of entrepreneurship between women and men are almost equal.

Angela will be attending the conference and delivering a paper on the founding of the Gender and Enterprise Network: a special interest group of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship in the UK. he Gender and Enterprise Network was formed to help advance the critical study of gender in enterprise and support feminist gender scholars. The network currently holds over 700 members, of which half of whom are international.

Held with the aim to strengthen and share the best practices and knowledge of women entrepreneurship based on research and innovation, the conference will also bring together leading business researchers, Thai and international women entrepreneurs, and public and private stakeholders.
