The Institute for Digital Technologies aims to address major technological challenges, with a focus on Big Data, Interactive and Creative Media, Cyber Security, Smart Living, Green Digital Technologies, and Advanced 5G Systems.

Our academics share professional expertise in postgraduate teaching and research across all major areas of digital technologies, including multimedia signal processing and communications fields extensively.

The Institute for Digital Technologies is renowned for building strong collaborations with national and international academic, research, and industrial organisations including Thales, BBC, Telefonica, IRT, Rohde & Schwarz, Technicolor, Arcelik, Telecom Italia, Airbus Defence and Space, as well as Disney Research.

The recruitment of new PhD students is a continuous process at the Institute for Digital Technologies. Research students will be closely guided by expert researchers, as well as national and international industrial organisations.

Masters programmes

Programmes are designed for students who wish to gain knowledge and expertise in the latest advances in digital creative media, mobile Internet, advanced 5G networks with cloud systems, cyber security, big data and digital technologies combined with business management.

Each programme incorporates principles and teaching inspired by current research, whilst offering students a chance to partake in development projects and industry-focused work experience opportunities.
