LSU London Manager
Jordan's role as LSU Manager is to lead and develop LSU London, the dedicated London branch of Loughborough Students’ Union.
Jordan joined LSU London as their new Manager in the summer of 2017. He previously worked for LSU Student Voice in our Midlands campus as their Senior Student Voice Consultant: Postgraduate and International Specialist. Largely responsible for student development, and ensuring that the postgraduate and international voice was heard, Jordan returned to London permanently after supporting in a voluntary role with LSU London since its opening.
Jordan is passionate about ensuring that LSU London continues to grow and establish itself, whilst seeking to lead on postgraduate student experience both at Loughborough and throughout the UK.
Having gained an undergraduate degree in Sports and Exercise Science, Jordan moved to Loughborough University to gain a Masters degree in Globalization and Sport. Having enjoyed the content of sports sociology modules and also new ideas and practices of human geography, Jordan began and recently submitted a PhD in both of these topics with a thesis title focused around the practices of visitors to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Jordan has presented at several conferences on his PhD area but also on broader education themes such as PhD peer support and representation.
Interests and activities
Jordan enjoys playing sport in his spare time at a recreational level including football, cricket and running. He has recently been successful in his application to run in the 2018 London Marathon. His less energetic pursuits include cooking, having previously worked in restaurants kitchens, and reading a wide range of fiction and non-fiction.
