Why did you choose to study at Loughborough University?
Loughborough University was recommended to me by alumni of the university. Further research on the University showed rich and diverse course content in my chosen field with seasoned lecturers and module structures that suited my plan and style of study. Testimonies from past students about the general learning environment and student experience convinced me that Loughborough was the place for me.
How has your qualification from Loughborough helped you in your career?
My qualification and knowledge from Loughborough University has enabled me to obtain a PhD position at Bath Spa University where I am currently undertaking research in Cultural Entrepreneurship in South West England.
What do you love most about your job?
Engaging with other academics and creative practitioners in my field of research and applying the skills and knowledge acquired during my course of study.
Where do you see yourself going in the future?
Academia, contributing to knowledge in the creative industries through research and transferring knowledge to students and peers through lectures and discourse.
How has Loughborough University inspired you?
Through my interaction with other students and lecturers, I have been inspired to invest more in myself through studying so as to follow my career objective in academia. At our departmental graduation reception I had expressed interest in doing a PhD to Prof. Downey, he advised me never give up on finding one especially not to be fazed by a rejection from a University but to keep applying. This encouragement inspired and enabled me to keep my focus in attaining a place for my PhD.
